Make Maternity Safer
In the United States, a woman’s risk of dying during child birth is 1 in 3,000. For women in developing countries, it’s 1 in 16.
We know how to safeguard women’s lives, yet motherhood for millions of poor women is very unsafe. Millions of US$s are being spent on treating illness, but pitiful amounts are being spent on trying to reduce maternal deaths.
Contact your congressman and Maloney’s office to press for funding for reducing maternal mortality.
